What is the KWBWA?
The Kitchener-Waterloo Business Women's Association is a group of approximately 50 career women from varied businesses in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Each member represents one business classification, i.e., one veterinarian, one hairdresser, etc. Membership in this Association is beneficial to those wishing to promote their businesses. The Association provides members with opportunities for both professional and personal growth.
What are the Purposes of the Association?
- to support and promote each member for the business she represents
- to create networking within the membership
- to increase knowledge through business education
- to encourage personal and professional development
- to develop relationships with other professional women in business
Association Activities
- meeting for a business lunch every week
- conducting a formal business meeting once a month
- distributing a monthly newsletter
- recommending the services and goods offered by the members to others outside the Association
- using the services and/or purchasing products from individual members
- providing a library of educational materials
- hosting guest speakers
- presenting Career Talks by members
